AIME 2015
AIME ends, visitors satisfied
The business event industry’s annual exhibition AIME concluded in Melbourne last Wednesday with visitors to the event reportedly happy with the new look, new features, and exhibitor engagement.
Despite some grumblings that there was no welcome reception on the night prior to the show opening, attendees to the final night’s dinner report it was a good end to a successful program. There were, however, some who believed the final night event meant the show was now one day longer than in previous years because they did not leave Melbourne until the following morning.
A full report on everything AIME will appear in the April 2015 edition of micenet AUSTRALIA magazine.
AIME visitor bags too small to be of use
micenet AUSTRALIA editor, Brad Foster, may be clowning around in this photo, but there is a more serious side to this story, with exhibitors potentially losing the opportunity to provide visitors with take-home material simply because they could not fit them in the bags that were provided.
But it appears as if Reed Exhibitions has a different take, with the following received today:
“Last year we noticed that the visitors’ bags were half empty as people tend to exchange business cards and communicate via email rather than collecting multiple brochures and documents that added together, become heavy for them to carry around all day."
“In an era where we all tend to use less and less paper and utilise more online resource tools for storing information, our need for physical storage is not as critical as it used to be. In this context it was making more sense for visitors to be provided with a normal size bag that could hold the brochures provided by exhibitors.”
Keep Calm & Plan Events
Keeping calm and planning events
micenet AUSTRALIA and’s KEEP CALM AND PLAN EVENTS promotion appeared to be a hit with visitors and exhibitors at AIME, with the team running out of mugs and pens with the branded merchandise.
Spotted at the AIME final night dinner was one visitor sporting a new KEEP CALM sticker on her phone case. Read why you should tell your clients to KEEP CALM AND PLAN EVENTS by clicking here.
