Dubai reports international meetings being held now

The Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing is reporting the Emirate is already hosting international meetings and has plenty more on the books, with a raft of recent wins for 2021.
 
It reports Dubai secured close to one dozen international events for 2021 and beyond, demonstrating Dubai is continuing on its strong pre-COVID-19 business event trajectory.
 
Despite recording close to 140,000 COVID cases and 510 deaths, and a recent spike in cases for the entire UAE, Dubai has had its international borders open since July 7.

On its first full day as a re-united state, Victoria recorded a “double donut day” as they refer to zero new COVID-19 infections and zero deaths.
 
The ring of steel dividing metropolitan Melbourne from its regions was lifted early Monday and a steady stream of vehicles headed for the popular playgrounds of the Mornington Peninsula and the Yarra Valley. Some families and friends had been separated for seven months.

Vbase wins best food experience award
 
Christchurch’s event powerhouse Vbase has won ‘Best Food Experience’ at the New Zealand Event Awards for its catering at TEDxChristchurch 2019: Tūrangawaewae—A Place of Belonging, at Christchurch Town Hall.
 
The hāngī lunch, which used the newly-constructed hāngi pits in the Town Hall’s neighbouring Commons site, ensured 1400 guests were safely and quickly served in just 10 minutes. All produce was locally and ethically sourced, responsibly harvested, and produced in house by the Vbase kitchen team in collaboration with Ngāi Tūāhuriri, through their subsidiary Matapopore.

Business Events Perth launches interactive event planner
 
To encourage conferences, exhibitions and incentives to the west coast, Business Events Perth has launched an interactive event planner. The online tool showcases the best of what is on offer in Western Australia by taking the user on a guided tour of its meeting spaces, accommodation options, gala function spaces and experiences.
 
Through videos and questions, users are engaged in a ‘choose your own adventure’ style journey through Western Australia with their personal driver, Alan. Some of the sites include the world’s largest fringing reef, an award-winning wine region and Rottnest Island, where users can snap a selfie with a quokka.
