Target Qualified Buyers with our Plan Events e-newsletter

Target the corporate meeting and event planner who is less involved in the business events industry on a day-to-day basis but is equally important through our KEEP CALM fortnightly e-newsletter.

We believe that these people, while heavily involved in business events, do not play an active role in the business events community, with many not members or participants in industry association events, and rarely taking part in famil programs or site inspections.

To that end, we've created a separate database to distribute this e-newsletter nationally, and are including content that we believe will give them tips, advice, event planning tricks from industry experts along with special deals available at hotels, venues and suppliers.

To target qualified buyers in this new e-newsletter contact us for further discussion.

Styling on an island

Emma Lilly, AV Partners' resident styling and theming specialist on Hamilton Island gives three top tips on styling the perfect island event:

  1. Let lighting bring your event to life once the sun goes down. String festoons through the palm trees, integrate light with your table centerpieces, and don't hold back on the candles.

  2. Incorporate a feature or photo wall to create an element of fun – a talking point for your guests and add some wow factor.

  3. Allow the dimensions of your event space to influence the style.

Bleasure Travel

The growth of mixing a business trip with a bit of leisure appears to be growing, with a new report revealing 73 per cent of Australians travelling for work extend their trip by a few hours or a few days to enjoy the city they are in. If it's Las Vegas then no doubt shopping is an important component of any visit for the business traveller.

It’s Valentine's Day. It's an industry event. And there’s a prize draw of a trip to Ireland. Makes sense doesn't it. Unfortunately in the most unromantic decision ever, the prize was for just one person. Perhaps the organisers expect the "winner" to find love during their visit.

 quick fix

  • Event planners do their best work when they know upfront what the budget for the event is.

  • If you run an annual conference, change up the layout of the event to promote new thinking and variety.

  • Hire a barista for your meeting and you’ll have a lot more happy delegates.

  • Change your conference up and organise a picnic lunch in a nearby park space for your midday break… weather permitting of course.
