fortnightly bite-sized news and ideas for the corporate event planner

Target Qualified Buyers with our new Plan Events e-newsletter
Target the corporate meeting and event planner who is less involved in the business events industry on a day-to-day basis but is equally important through our new KEEP CALM fortnightly e-newsletter.
We believe that these people, while heavily involved in business events, do not play an active role in the business events community, with many not members or participants in industry association events, and rarely taking part in famil programs or site inspections.
To that end, we’ve created a separate database to distribute this e-newsletter nationally, and are including content that we believe will give them tips, advice, event planning tricks from industry experts along with special deals available at hotels, venues and suppliers.
To target qualified buyers in this new e-newsletter contact us for further discussion.

What's Hot
Regional conferencing
Just one hour out of Australia's major cities and there's a vast new world of conference destinations just waiting to be discovered. By the beach, in the mountains, on the snow, and in the bush, Australia is blessed with some fabulous regional conference hotspots. And the great thing is they're often cheap as chips when compared to the big CBDs.
Too many workshops and not enough plenaries. Don't you hate it when you attend a conference and there are two workshop sessions you want to attend that are being held at the same time? A simple recording of the workshops to allow delegates to view them later is a great option.

Earlier this year, Business Events Gold Coast had Olympic Gold Medallist Mack Horton as a lunchtime speaker at an event they were running. And he was great. Young, chatty and down to earth, he has some great stories to tell and right now he won't cost the earth.

 quick fix
  • Forget about an event theme and focus on lighting instead.
  • Overcome obstacles before they happen by a thorough site inspection of the venue you're using before you turn up on the day.
  • If your event numbers are dipping, try a new venue and a new destination – somewhere exciting – that delegates may like to bring their partners to as well.
